     Margaret May Laurie was born on 13 January 1908.¹ She was the daughter of Cecil Emilius Laurie and Helen Janet Douglas Campbell.² She married Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Douglas Henry Houldsworth, 4th Bt., son of Colonel Sir William Thomas Reginald Houldsworth, 3rd Bt. and Ethel Mary Alberta Whitmore, on 30 April 1934.¹ She died on 1 August 1995 at age 87.¹
      Margaret May Laurie also went by the nick-name of Meg.¹ Her married name became Houldsworth.

     Cecil Emilius Laurie was born on 4 January 1862.¹ He was the son of Reverend Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie, 3rd Bt. and Marianne Sophia Rice.² He married Helen Janet Douglas Campbell, daughter of Robert Douglas-Campbell and Catherine Ellen Miller, on 23 October 1900.¹ He died on 30 January 1919 at age 57.¹
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) (Dumfriesshire).¹ He lived at Jarbruck, Moniaive, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.

     Helen Janet Douglas Campbell was the daughter of Robert Douglas-Campbell and Catherine Ellen Miller.^2,3 She married Cecil Emilius Laurie, son of Reverend Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie, 3rd Bt. and Marianne Sophia Rice, on 23 October 1900.¹ She died on 1 April 1919.¹
      Her married name became Laurie.

     Reverend Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie, 3rd Bt. was born on 16 May 1823.¹ He was the son of John Edward George Bayley and Charlotte Mary Fector.² He married Marianne Sophia Rice, daughter of Edward Royds Rice and Elizabeth Knight, on 1 February 1855.¹ He died on 4 December 1917 at age 94.¹
     He was given the name of John Robert Laurie Emilius Bayley at birth. Reverend Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Emilius.³ He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Bayley. In 1843 BD, Vicar Woburn and St John's, Paddington 1867–88, Rector St George's Bloomsbury 1856–67.¹ In 1887 his name was legally changed to John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie. On 26 February 1887 OF MAXWELTON (roy licence on inheriting Maxwelton).¹

     Marianne Sophia Rice was born on 23 February 1826.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Royds Rice and Elizabeth Knight.² She married Reverend Sir John Robert Laurie Emilius Laurie, 3rd Bt., son of John Edward George Bayley and Charlotte Mary Fector, on 1 February 1855.³ She died on 22 June 1903 at age 77.³
      Her married name became Bayley. From 1887, her married name became Laurie.

     Lieutenant Graham Montague Balfour was born on 31 December 1838.² He was the son of Francis Balfour and Margaret Bower.¹ He married Emily Charlotte Neild on 20 November 1863 at Quilon, Madras, India.² He died on 15 July 1870 at age 31.^1,2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Madras Army.¹

     Sir Richard Thomas Reginald Houldsworth, 5th Bt. was born on 2 August 1947.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Douglas Henry Houldsworth, 4th Bt. and Margaret May Laurie.¹ He married, firstly, Jane Orr, daughter of George Alistair Orr and Doreen Elizabeth Cole, on 12 September 1970.¹ He and Jane Orr were divorced in 1982.¹ He married, secondly, Ann Catherine Tremayne, daughter of Jean Jacques Tremayne, on 2 May 1992.¹
     He was educated at Bredon School, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He was educated at Blanerne School, Denholme, Yorkshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Houldsworth, of Reddish, co, Lancaster and Coodham, Symington, Ayrshire [U.K., 1887] in 1989.¹

     Myrtle Janet Mary Houldsworth was born on 19 July 1935.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Douglas Henry Houldsworth, 4th Bt. and Margaret May Laurie.¹ She married Philip Charles Nicholas Howard, son of Peter Dunsmore Howard, on 17 October 1959.¹
      Her married name became Howard. She lived in 2003 at Flat 1, 47 Ladbroke Grove, London, England.¹

     Philip Charles Nicholas Howard is the son of Peter Dunsmore Howard. He married Myrtle Janet Mary Houldsworth, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Reginald Douglas Henry Houldsworth, 4th Bt. and Margaret May Laurie, on 17 October 1959.¹
     He was a journalist with The Times.¹
