Arthur Wellington Alexander Nelson Hood, 2nd Viscount Bridport of Cricket St. Thomas was born on 15 December 1839.1 He was the son of General Alexander Hood, 1st Viscount Bridport of Cricket St. Thomas and Lady Mary Penelope Hill.1 He married Lady Maria Georgiana Julia Fox-Strangways, daughter of Hon. John George Charles Fox-Strangways and Amelia Barbara Marjoribanks, on 4 April 1872.1 He died on 28 March 1924 at age 84 at Lancrosse Vale, Guernsey, Channel Islands.2 He was buried on 1 April 1924 at Vale Cemetery, Lancrosse Vale, Guernsey, Channel Islands.2
