     Cecilia Mary Wythes was born on 27 March 1900. She was the daughter of Ernest James Wythes and Aline Thorold.² She married Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Alfred Edward Codrington and Adela Harriet Portal, on 24 May 1923.¹ She died in 1979.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Alfred Edward Codrington was born on 4 May 1854.¹ He was the son of General Sir William John Codrington and Mary Ames.² He married Adela Harriet Portal, daughter of Melville Portal and Lady Charlotte Mary Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, on 20 May 1885.² He died on 12 September 1945 at age 91.¹

     Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington was born on 19 April 1926.¹ He is the son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes.² He married, firstly, Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland, daughter of Colonel Mark Edward Makgill Crichton Maitland and Patience Irene Fleetwood Fuller, on 12 December 1953.¹ He and Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland were divorced in 1986.¹ He married, secondly, Alma Patricia Sheridan, daughter of Patrick Sheridan, in 1986.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 16th/5th Lancers.¹

     Irene Margaret Makgill Crichton Maitland was born on 21 April 1927.² She was the daughter of Colonel Mark Edward Makgill Crichton Maitland and Patience Irene Fleetwood Fuller.^2,3 She married Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington, son of Sir Geoffrey Ronald Codrington and Cecilia Mary Wythes, on 12 December 1953.¹ She and Michael Christopher Alfred Codrington were divorced in 1986.¹ She died in 1994.¹
