     Christopher Codrington is the son of Christopher Codrington.2
     He held the office of Captain-General of the Leeward Islands.1 He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor of Barbados.1

     Christopher Codrington was the son of Christopher Codrington.2 He died on 7 April 1710.1
     He held the office of Governor of the Leeward Islands.1 He left to All Souls, Oxford, £10,000 for a library plus his own collection of books, as well as £2,000 p.a. to the Society for the Propogation of the Gospel to found a College at Barbados.1

     John Codrington is the son of Christopher Codrington.2 He married unknown Bates, daughter of Colonel unknown Bates.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Life Guards in Barbados.1 He was Treasurer of Barbados.1

     Elizabeth Bethell was the daughter of William Bethell.2 She married Sir William Codrington, 1st Bt., son of John Codrington and unknown Bates, on 12 March 1717/18.1 She died on 5 February 1761.1
     From 12 March 1717/18, her married name became Codrington.

     Sir William Codrington, 2nd Bt. was born on 26 October 1719.1 He was the son of Sir William Codrington, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bethell.3 He married Anne Acton on 22 February 1735/36.1 He died on 11 March 1792 at age 72.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Codrington, of Dodington, co. Gloucester [G.B, 1721] on 17 December 1738.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tewkesbury.1

     John Archibald Codrington was born on 26 November 1721.1 He was the son of Sir William Codrington, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Bethell.2 He married Sarah Capper, daughter of Henry Capper.1 He died on 18 March 1759 at age 37, without issue.1
     He lived at Chingford Hatch, Essex, EnglandG.1
