Sir Stephen Lushington, 1st Bt. was born in 1744.1 He was the son of Reverend Henry Lushington and Mary Altham.2 He married Hester Boldero, daughter of John Boldero and Hester Stones, on 6 June 1771.3 He died on 12 January 1807.3
He was director of the Honourable East India Company in 1752.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Helston.3 He was chairman of the Honourable East India Company between 1790 and 1791.3 He was created 1st Baronet Lushington, of South Hill Park, Berkshire [Great Britain] on 26 April 1791.3 He was chairman of the Honourable East India Company in 1794.3
