     Anna Maria Cornwall was baptised in 1711.2 She was the daughter of Francis Cornwall and Mary Woodhouse.2 A settlement for the marriage between her and George Legh was made on 26 March 1731.1 She died on 7 July 1741.1
     From 26 March 1731, her married name became Legh.1

     George Cornwall Legh was born on 30 August 1804.1 He was the son of George John Legh and Mary Blackburne.2 He married Louisa Charlotte Taylor, daughter of Edward Taylor, on 5 July 1828.1 He died on 16 June 1877 at age 72, without surviving issue.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1838.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Cheshire between 1841 and 1847.1 He partipicated in an ordinance between 1848 and 1868; Member of Parliament (M.P.) for North Cheshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cheshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cheshire.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd Royal Cheshire Militia.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mid-Cheshire between 1868 and 1873.2
