     Vice-Admiral Edward Henry à Court Repington was born on 10 December 1783.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir William Pierce Ashe à Court, 1st Bt. and Lætitia Wyndham.2 He died on 22 September 1855 at age 71.1
     He was given the name of Edward Henry à Court at birth.1 His name was legally changed to Edward Henry à Court Repington on inheriting the Amington Hall estate.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Tamworth.1
