     Matthew West was born on 13 March 1777 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was the son of Matthew West and Mary Ann Roan.1 He married Maria Louisa de Blaisy Joly, daughter of Jean Jasper Joly and Maria Louisa Rumley, on 21 July 1802 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He died on 15 November 1820 at age 43 at Harcourt Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 His will was probated on 7 December 1820.1
     Matthew West gained the rank of Ensign on 19 May 1801 in the service of the 16th Regiment (Buckingham).1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin between 1810 and 1811.1 His last will was dated 15 December 1817.1

     Maria Louisa de Blaisy Joly was born on 24 March 1781 at Carton, County Kildare, Ireland.1 She was the daughter of Jean Jasper Joly and Maria Louisa Rumley.1 She married Matthew West, son of Matthew West and Mary Ann Roan, on 21 July 1802 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 She died on 12 January 1846 at age 64.1 She was buried on 15 January 1846 at St. Werburgh's, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1
     From 21 July 1802, her married name became West.1

     Cecil West Darley was born in 1842 at Wingfield, County Wicklow, Ireland.1 He was the son of Henry Darley and Maria Louisa West.1 He married, firstly, Rosanne Sophia Ives Close on 18 January 1877 at Darlinghurst, New South Wales, Australia.1 He married, secondly, Constance Leila Annette Campbell in 1885.1 He died on 18 October 1928 at London, England.1
     Cecil West Darley was educated at King William's College, Castletown, Isle of Man.1 He was with the Public Works Department, New South Wales in 1867.1 He was Chief Engineer of the Public Works Department, New South Wales between 1896 and 1901.1
