     George White West was born on 4 March 1815 at Harcourt Street, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of Matthew West and Maria Louisa de Blaisy Joly.2 He married Georgiana Grove Annesley, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Arthur Grove Annesley and Elizabeth Mahon, on 20 August 1840.1 He died on 23 May 1869 at age 54 at The Hermitage, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland.2
