     John George Chancellor was born on 27 September 1821 at Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Alexander Chancellor and Helen Hamilton Robertson.² He married, firstly, Isabella Adolphus Ross, daughter of Dr. Adolphus McDowall Ross and Catherine Hume, on 23 June 1847.² He married, secondly, Anne Isabella Hare on 20 October 1870.² He married, thirdly, Cecilia Elizabeth Balfour, daughter of James Balfour, on 8 April 1874.² He died on 15 March 1894 at age 72.²

Cobbett before 1921.³ She married, secondly, George Lewis Denman, son of Rt. Hon. George Denman and Charlotte Hope, on 13 January 1921.¹ She died on 28 June 1928 at age 72 at London, England.^1,2

     Frances Harford was the daughter of Henry Harford.¹ She married Richard Heywood, son of Nathaniel Heywood and Ann Percival, on 1 June 1849.¹ She died on 14 July 1875, without issue.¹
