John Talbot, 1st Viscount Lisle

     John Talbot, 1st Viscount Lisle was born circa 1426.1 He was the son of General John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Margaret Beauchamp.2 He married Joan Chedder, daughter of Sir Thomas Chedder, after 1443.2 He died on 17 July 1453 at Chastillon, FranceG, killed in action.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire in 1444.2 He was created 1st Lord of Lisle [England] on 26 July 1444, with a special remainder to his heirs to the Lordship of the Manor of Kingston Lisle, Berkshire.2 He was created 1st Viscount Lisle [England] on 30 October 1451.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1453.2

     Joan Chedder was born circa 1425. She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Chedder.1 She married, firstly, Richard Stafford.1 She married, secondly, John Talbot, 1st Viscount Lisle, son of General John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Margaret Beauchamp, after 1443.1 She died on 15 July 1464.
     Her married name became Stafford.1 Her married name became Talbot. After her marriage, Joan Chedder was styled as Viscountess Lisle on 30 October 1451.

     Sir Richard Guildford was born circa 1450 at Cranbrook, Kent, England.1 He was the son of Sir John Guildford and Alice Waller. He married Anne Pympe, daughter of John Pympe.2 He died on 28 September 1506, on a pilmgrimage to Jerusalem.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)3 He held the office of Sheriff of Kent.2 He lived at Hempstead, Kent, EnglandG.4

Charles Willoughby Waddington and Ethel Caroline Stocker.1,2 She married Sir John Ashton Wentworth Roskill, son of John Henry Roskill and Sybil Mary Wentworth Dilke, on 29 July 1932 at Brampton, Huntingdonshire, England.2 She died in 1964 at Newbury, Berkshire, England.2
     From 29 July 1932, her married name became Roskill.2

     Sir Thomas West, 8th Lord la Warre was born circa 1457.1 He was the son of Richard West, 7th Lord la Warre and Catherine Hungerford.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Mortimer, daughter of Hugh Mortimer and Eleanor Cornwall.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Copley, daughter of Sir Roger Copley.1 He died on 11 October 1525.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord la Warre [E., 1299] on 10 March 1475/76.1 He succeeded as the 5th Lord West [E., 1322] on 10 March 1475/76.1 He was appointed Knight on 18 January 1477/78.1 On 5 March 1485/86 he was granted the Sussex estates of the attainted Duke of Norfolk.1 In 1497 he helped quell the Cornish uprising in support of Perkin Warbeck.1 He was appointed Knight Banneret on 18 August 1513.1
