     Sir Thomas Cornwall was the son of Edmund Cornwall and Elizabeth de la Barre.2 He married Elizabeth Lenthall, daughter of Sir Rowland Lenthall and Lucy de Grey.1 He died in 1473.1
     Sir Thomas Cornwall succeeded to the title of 6th Baron of Burford, Shropshire [feudal barony] in 1443.3 He held the office of Sheriff of Shropshire in 1459.1 In 1461 he was attainted as a Lancastrian and his estates confiscated.1
