     Sir Gilbert Cornwall was born in 1598.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Cornwall and Anne Lyttelton.2 He married Elizabeth Reade, daughter of Sir Thomas Reade.1 He died in 1671.1
     Sir Gilbert Cornwall was invested as a Knight in 1620.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Baron of Burford, Shropshire [feudal barony] in 1638.3

     Francis Cornwall was born in 1685.1 He was the son of Thomas Cornwall and Katherine Read.2 He married Mary Woodhouse, daughter of James Woodhouse.1 He died in 1727.1
     Francis Cornwall succeeded to the title of 16th Baron of Burford, Shropshire [feudal barony] in 1724.3 He sold Burford, to pay his debts.1
