     Sir Bysshe Shelley, 1st Bt. was born on 21 June 1731.1 He was the son of Timothy Shelley and Johanna (?).1 He married, firstly, Mary Catherine Michell, daughter of Reverend Theobald Michell and Mary Tredcroft, on 30 June 1752.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Jane Perry, daughter of William Perry and Elizabeth Sydney, in 1769.1 He died on 6 January 1815 at age 83.1
     Sir Bysshe Shelley, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Shelley, of Castle Goring, co. Sussex [U.K.] on 3 March 1806.1
