     Lt.-Col. Edward Bourryan Luard was born in 1871 at St. Leonard's-on-Sea, Sussex, England^G.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Richard George Amherst Luard and Hannah Chamberlin.¹ He married Louise Henrietta Smith, daughter of Rev. Canon Sidney Lidderdale Smith and Hon. Frances Mary Scarlett, in 1905 at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.¹ He died on 24 April 1916, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Shropshire Light Infantry.² He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, King's Shropshire Shropshire Light Infantry.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Hugo Hodson was born on 14 February 2009.¹ He is the son of Rupert Edward Hodson and Phillipa Mary Luard.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Luard was born on 5 May 1790.¹ He was the son of Peter John Luard and Louisa Dalbiac.¹ He married Elizabeth Scott, daughter of Colonel William Scott.¹ He died on 24 October 1875 at age 85.¹
     He fought in the Peninsular Wars.¹ He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Dragoons and 16th Lancers.¹ He wrote the book History of the Dress of the British Soldier, published 1852.²

     He fought in the Crimean War.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Frances Dorothea Hunt was born on 27 October 1815 at Holton, Lincolnshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Hunt.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Charles Elmhirst on 9 January 1861 at St. Michael, County Limerick, Ireland.¹ She died in 1904 at Spilsby, Lincolnshire, England.¹
     From 9 January 1861, her married name became Elmhirst.¹

     Robert Hunt held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Harry Rochfort Elmhirst was born in 1863 at Corfu, Greece.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Charles Elmhirst and Frances Dorothea Hunt.¹ He married, firstly, Lilian Frances Hatfeild, daughter of John Hatfeild and Mariana Frances Davide, in 1901 at Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England.¹ He married, secondly, Agnes Lockwood, daughter of William Lockwood, in 1907 at Ripon, Yorkshire, England.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Norfolk Regiment.¹

     Lilian Frances Hatfeild was the daughter of John Hatfeild and Mariana Frances Davide.¹ She married Harry Rochfort Elmhirst, son of Lt.-Gen. Charles Elmhirst and Frances Dorothea Hunt, in 1901 at Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England.¹ She died in 1906 at Horncastle, Lincolnshire, England.¹
     From 1901, her married name became Elmhirst.¹

     John Hatfeild was born on 15 June 1846 at Thorp Arch Hall, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Randall Hatfeild and Christiana Marshall.¹ He married Mariana Frances Davide, daughter of Adolphe Davide, on 10 June 1869.¹ He died on 5 July 1889 at age 43.¹
     He lived at Thorp Arch Hall, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Agnes Lockwood is the daughter of William Lockwood.¹ She married Harry Rochfort Elmhirst, son of Lt.-Gen. Charles Elmhirst and Frances Dorothea Hunt, in 1907 at Ripon, Yorkshire, England.¹
