     Roger Wakefield was born on 14 August 1706.1 He is the son of Roger Wakefield and Mary Haig.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Willan, daughter of Thomas Willan, on 2 April 1730.1 He married, secondly, Mary Wilson, daughter of John Wilson, on 4 October 1737.1 He died on 14 August 1756 at age 50, having by her had, with two elder sons and two daughters:.1
     He lived Stricklandgate.1

     Edward Wakefield was born in 1744.1 He was the son of Edward Wakefield and Priscilla Bell.2 He married Susanna Crash.1 He married Frances Davies, daughter of David Davies, in 1822.3 He died in 1854, with five other sons (Daniel, married Angela Attwood issue.1

     Edward Gibbon Wakefield was born on 20 March 1796 at London, England.1,3 He was the son of Edward Wakefield and Susanna Crash.4 He married, firstly, Eliza Susan Pattle, daughter of Thomas Charles Pattle, on 27 July 1816 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.3 He married, secondly, Ellen Turner, daughter of William Turner, in March 1826 at Gretna Green, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.3 He died on 16 May 1862 at age 66 at Wellington, New Zealand.1,3
     Originator of concept of Adelaide, Australia, as a convict-free settlement.1 He was founder Christchurch, Wellington, Otago, Nelson and New Plymouth in New Zealand.1 His marriage to Ellen Turner was annulled by Act of parliament.3 He was sentenced to three years for abducting Ellen Turner and forcing her to marry.3
