     William Tucker Lindesay-Bethune, 14th Earl of Lindsay was born on 28 April 1901.1 He was the son of Archibald Lionel Bethune, 13th Earl of Lindsay and Ethel Tucker.1 He married Marjory Cross, daughter of Arthur John Graham Cross and Marjory Nelson Ritchie Edwards, on 6 January 1925.1 He died in 1985.1
     William Tucker Lindesay-Bethune, 14th Earl of Lindsay was baptised with the name of William Tucker Bethune.1 He was educated at Groton School, Groton, Massachusetts, U.S.A..1 He graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He gained the rank of Second World War in the service of the where he was wounded.1 He succeeded to the title of 14th Lord Parbroath [S., 1633] on 15 October 1943.1 He succeeded to the title of 14th Earl of Lindsay [S., 1633] on 15 October 1943.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Viscount of Garnock [S., 1703] on 15 October 1943.1 He succeeded to the title of 23rd Lord Lindsay of the Byres [S., 1444] on 15 October 1943.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Lord Kilbirny and Drumry [S., 1703] on 15 October 1943.1 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1947 and 1959.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1 He was invested as a Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.).1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the service of the Fife and Forfar Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Member of the Fife County Council between 1956 and 1963.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel between 1957 and 1962 in the service of the Scottish Horse.1
