     Elizabeth Dalzell was born circa 1780.2 She was the daughter of Richard Dalzell and Elizabeth Johnston.1 She married Sir Alexander Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 6th Bt., son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell, in 1803.1,2 She died on 24 May 1837.2 She was buried at Mouswald Parish Church, Mouswald, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.2
     From 1803, her married name became Grierson.1

Sir Alexander Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 6th Bt.1

     Sir Alexander Gilbert Grierson of Lag, 6th Bt. was baptised on 10 March 1777 at Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.2,3 He was the son of Sir Robert Grierson of Lag, 5th Bt. and Margaret Dalzell.4 He married Elizabeth Dalzell, daughter of Richard Dalzell and Elizabeth Johnston, in 1803.1,3 He died on 14 March 1840 at age 63.1,3 He was buried at Mousewald Parish Church, Mousewald, Dumfries-shire, ScotlandG.3
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Grierson, of Lag, co. Dumfries [N.S., 1685] on 8 August 1839.4
