     Katharine Ashton was born circa 1860.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Ashton and Elizabeth Gair.1,3 She married Charles Lupton, son of Francis Lupton and Frances Elizabeth Greenhow, in 1888.1 She died on 9 May 1940.2
     From 1888, her married name became Lupton.1
