     T/Lt.-Col. Derrick Alfred Carden was born on 27 March 1875.¹ He was the son of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson.² He died on 25 May 1915 at age 40 at Hazebrouk, France, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He was Major.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 7th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.¹

     Julia Ellen Beatrice Carden was the daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson.² She married George Edward de Vere Kennedy, son of Sir Charles Edward Bayly Kennedy, 2nd Bt. and Augusta Maria Pery, on 8 August 1889.¹ She died on 6 October 1933.²
     From 8 August 1889, her married name became Kennedy.

     George Edward de Vere Kennedy was born on 2 August 1857.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Edward Bayly Kennedy, 2nd Bt. and Augusta Maria Pery.² He married Julia Ellen Beatrice Carden, daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson, on 8 August 1889.² He died on 24 November 1922 at age 65.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 5th Lancers.¹

     Norah Irene Carden was born on 28 June 1873.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson.² She married Lt.-Col. Henry Sargeaunt, son of John Barneby Sargeaunt, on 21 January 1903.¹
     From 21 January 1903, her married name became Sargeaunt.

     John Barneby Sargeaunt lived at Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Henry Sargeaunt was the son of John Barneby Sargeaunt.² He married Norah Irene Carden, daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson, on 21 January 1903.¹ He died on 15 January 1950.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Cheshire Regiment.¹

     Eileen Olive Carden was born on 18 August 1878.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson.² She died on 4 September 1878.¹

     Emily Louise Perry married Joseph Arthur Helyar.
     Her married name became Helyar.

     Olive Lupton was baptised on 15 September 1804 at Leeds, Yorkshire, West Riding, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Lupton and Ann Darnton.¹

     Sybil Martha Baker was the daughter of General Valentine Baker and Fanny Wormald.^1,2 She married Sir John Craven Carden, 5th Bt., son of Sir John Craven Carden, 4th Bt. and Julia Isabella Robinson, on 10 February 1891.¹ She died on 1 July 1911.¹
     From 10 February 1891, her married name became Carden.
