     Patrick 'Para Dubh Beag' Campbell, 1st of Barcaldine was born illegitimately in 1592.1 He was the son of Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy, 1st Bt.2 He married, secondly, Bethia Murray, daughter of Patrick Murray, 7th of Ochtertyre and Mary Moray.1 He married, firstly, Annabel Campbell, daughter of Alexander Campbell, 7th Captain of Dunstaffnage and Ann Campbell, in 1620.1 He died on 25 March 1678.1
     Patrick 'Para Dubh Beag' Campbell, 1st of Barcaldine also went by the nick-name of Patrick 'Para Dubh Beag' (or in English, 'Little Dark Pat.1') On 27 December 1614 he was legitimated, along with his brother James.1 He received from his father Innerzeldies and other lands in Perthshire.1
