Sir Duncan Campbell of Barcaldine, 1st Bt. was born on 3 July 1786.1 He was the son of Alexander Campbell of Barcaldine and Glenure and Mary Campbell.2 He married Elizabeth Dreghorn Dennistoun, daughter of James Dennistoun and Margaret Dreghorn, on 22 February 1815.1 He died on 2 April 1842 at age 55.1
