     Gertrude de Bary Saunders was born circa 1872.² She was the daughter of Gilbert Saunders.² She married Charles Ellis Hay Erskine, son of Maj.-Gen. George Elphinstone Erskine and Blanche Cates, on 19 November 1897.¹ She died on 18 August 1970.¹
     From 19 November 1897, her married name became Erskine.

     Eva Constance Sarah Edwards was the daughter of Canon Ebenezer Wood Edwards.² She married Maj.-Gen. George Elphinstone Erskine, son of George Keith Erskine and Selina Chambers, on 3 July 1895.¹ She died on 20 January 1940.¹
     From 3 July 1895, her married name became Erskine.

     General Sir George Watkin Eben James Erskine was born on 23 August 1899.³ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. George Elphinstone Erskine and Eva Constance Sarah Edwards.² He married Ruby de la Rue, daughter of Sir Evelyn Andros de la Rue, 2nd Bt. and Mary Violet Francklin, on 30 January 1930.³ He died on 29 August 1965 at age 66.³
     General Sir George Watkin Eben James Erskine fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches three times.² He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1942.³ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1943.³ He was decorated with the award of Médaille Militaire (Belgian).² He was decorated with the award of Grand Cross, Order of Leopold II of Belgium.² He was decorated with the award of Commander, U.S. Legion of Merit.² He was decorated with the award of Order du Chêne (Luxemburg).² He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1950.³ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1952.³ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1955.³ He held the office of Aide-de-Camp General to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1955 and 1965.³ He held the office of Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Jersey between 1958 and 1964.² He was invested as a Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.) in 1959.²

     Ruby de la Rue was the daughter of Sir Evelyn Andros de la Rue, 2nd Bt. and Mary Violet Francklin.^2,3 She married General Sir George Watkin Eben James Erskine, son of Maj.-Gen. George Elphinstone Erskine and Eva Constance Sarah Edwards, on 30 January 1930.¹ She died on 19 January 1974.²
     Ruby de la Rue was invested as a Companion, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.).⁴ From 30 January 1930, her married name became Erskine.

     Major Philip Neil Erskine was born on 20 August 1933.¹ He is the son of General Sir George Watkin Eben James Erskine and Ruby de la Rue.² He married Alice Fiona Radcliffe, daughter of Edward Copleston Radcliffe and Mona Ruth de la Rue, on 25 November 1960.¹
     Major Philip Neil Erskine was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.² He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He was a landscape artist.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Scots Guards.² He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of New Zealand between 1959 and 1960.¹ He was Equerry to HRH The Duke of Gloucester between 1962 and 1964.² He was decorated with the award of Sina Varde Shell Foundation Gold Medal (for conservation).¹ He lived in 2003 at Ida’s Valley Homestead, Stellenbosch, Cape Province, South Africa.¹

     Edward Copleston Radcliffe is the son of Pollexfen Clomore Copleston Radcliffe.² He married Mona Ruth de la Rue, daughter of Sir Evelyn Andros de la Rue, 2nd Bt. and Mary Violet Francklin, on 11 April 1935.³ He died on 2 July 1967.⁴
     Edward Copleston Radcliffe gained the rank of Major in the service of the 9th Lancers.³ He lived at Derriford, Devon, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 9th Lancers.¹

     Alice Fiona Radcliffe was born on 18 February 1941.⁴ She is the daughter of Edward Copleston Radcliffe and Mona Ruth de la Rue.^2,3 She married Major Philip Neil Erskine, son of General Sir George Watkin Eben James Erskine and Ruby de la Rue, on 25 November 1960.¹
     From 25 November 1960, her married name became Erskine.
