     Marion Harriet Cathcart was the daughter of Robert Cathcart.1 She married Alexander Fairlie Bruce, son of Sir William Bruce of Stenhouse, 7th Bt. and Anne Colquhoun Cuningham-Fairlie, on 7 February 1827.1 She died on 29 November 1852.1
     From 7 February 1827, her married name became Bruce.1

     Maj.-Gen. Alexander James Bruce was born on 24 December 1828.1 He was the son of Alexander Fairlie Bruce and Marion Harriet Cathcart.1 He married Marianne Thomas, daughter of J. F. Thomas, on 16 December 1853.1 He died on 9 May 1906 at age 77.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Madras Army.1

     From 16 December 1853, her married name became Bruce.

     Alexander Fairlie Bruce was born on 3 November 1854.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Alexander James Bruce and Marianne Thomas.1 He married Emily Louisa Carver, daughter of E. D. Carver, on 11 September 1902.1 He died on 27 June 1939 at age 84.1
