     Lady Agnes Montgomerie was the daughter of Hugh Montgomerie, 3rd Earl of Eglinton and Agnes Drummond.1 She married Robert Sempill, 4th Lord Sempill, son of Robert Sempill, Master of Sempill and Barbara Preston, circa 11 September 1583.1 She died before 28 November 1601.1
     From circa 11 September 1583, her married name became Sempill.1

     Barbara Preston was the daughter of Archibald Preston.1 She married Robert Sempill, Master of Sempill, son of Robert Sempill, 3rd Lord Sempill and Isabel Hamilton, before 30 April 1569.1
     From before 30 April 1569, her married name became Sempill.1

     William Sempill, 2nd Lord Sempill was the son of John Sempill, 1st Lord Sempill and Margaret Colville.1 He married, thirdly, Marion Montgomerie, daughter of Hugh Montgomerie.2 He married Margaret Montgomerie, daughter of Hugh Montgomerie, 1st Earl of Eglinton and Lady Helen Campbell, before 20 July 1517.2 He died on 3 June 1552 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
     William Sempill, 2nd Lord Sempill gained the title of 2nd Lord Sempill.
