     Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Banks, 1st and last Bt. was born on 13 February 1743/44 at Argyle Street, London, England.¹ He was the son of William Banks and Sarah Bate.¹ He married Dorothy Hugessen, daughter of William Western Hugessen and Thomazine Honywood, on 23 March 1779 at St. Andrew's Church, Holborn, London, England.² He died on 19 June 1820 at age 76 at Soho Square, Soho, London, England, without issue.¹ His will was probated in September 1820.²

Sir Joseph Banks, 1st and last Bt. was educated in 1753 at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.¹ He was educated in 1756 at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He matriculated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 16 December 1760.¹ In 1766 he travelled to Newfoundland.² He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1766.² Between 1768 and 1771 he accompanied Captain James Cook on his voyage around the world, as the expedition's botanist.² He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 21 November 1771 with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.).² In 1772 he voyaged to Iceland.² He was president of the Royal Society between 1778 and 1820.² In 1779 he purchased the estate of Spring Grove, in Hounslow, Middlesex.² He was created 1st Baronet Banks, of Revesby Abbey, co. Lincoln [Great Britain] on 24 March 1781.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire between 1794 and 1795.² He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 1 July 1795.² He held the office of Commissioner of the Board of Trade in 1797.² He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 29 March 1797.² He was founding president of the Royal Institution between 1799 and 1800.² He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1815.²
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.²

     Dorothy Blancahrd married Oliver Martin Wilson Warner, son of Richard Cromwell Warner and Grace Rankin Wilson.¹
     Her married name became Warner.¹

     Bridget Warner was born in 1928.¹ She is the daughter of Oliver Martin Wilson Warner and Dorothy Blancahrd.¹

     Elizabeth Strahan married Oliver Martin Wilson Warner, son of Richard Cromwell Warner and Grace Rankin Wilson.¹
     Her married name became Warner.¹

     Charles Warner was born in 1938.¹ He is the son of Oliver Martin Wilson Warner and Elizabeth Strahan.¹
