Sir Thomas Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 8th Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 8th Bt. was the son of Sir James Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 6th Bt. and Janet Cuming.2 He married Charlotte Niven Doig Hutcheson, daughter of Hugh Hutcheson, in 1832.1 He died on 30 August 1870.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Cuninghame, of Corsehill, co. Ayr [N.S., 1672] on 8 June 1846.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the Royal Ayrshire Rifles between 1850 and 1858.1

     He lived at Brantfield, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 He lived at Hatfield Woodall, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Sir Henry Boteler was the son of John Boteler, 1st Baron Boteler of Brantfield and Elizabeth Villiers.1 He died before 1637.1
     He was appointed Knight on 7 September 1616 at Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 In 1617 he was sent with a tutor to Spain "to cure him of the disease of drinking, which, young as he was, he was already much given to."1

William Boteler, 2nd Baron Boteler of Brantfield1

     William Boteler, 2nd Baron Boteler of Brantfield was the son of John Boteler, 1st Baron Boteler of Brantfield and Elizabeth Villiers.1 He died in 1647, unmarried.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered to his sisters, Countess of Marlborough, and Dame Ellen Drake on 8 October 1664.1
     In 1637 he was found by the Courts to have been an idiot from birth.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Boteler [E., 1620] on 27 May 1637.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Boteler of Brantfield, co. Hertford [E., 1628] on 27 May 1637.1
     On his death, his peerage and baronetcy became extinct.1

     Hon. Mary Boteler was the daughter of John Boteler, 1st Baron Boteler of Brantfield and Elizabeth Villiers.1 She married Edward Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Escrick, son of Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk and Katherine Knyvett, on 30 November 1623.1,2 She died circa January 1633/34.3 She was buried on 30 January 1633/34 at St. Martin in the Field, London, EnglandG.3
     From 30 November 1623, her married name became Howard.1 After her marriage, Hon. Mary Boteler was styled as Baroness Howard of Escrick on 12 April 1628.

     Brig.-Gen. Sir Henry Allen William Johnson, 4th Bt. was born on 9 October 1855.2 He was the son of Sir Henry Franks Frederic Johnson, 3rd Bt. and Emma Patty Barclay.2 He married, firstly, Ella Dyson, daughter of Thomas Dyson, on 20 March 1886.2 He married, secondly, Georgina Orde-Powlett, daughter of Hon. Amias Charles Orde-Powlett and Anne Martha Topham, on 18 August 1897.1 He died on 10 April 1944 at age 88.2
     He fought in the Jowaki Campaign in 1877.2 He fought in the Afghanistan Cmapaign between 1878 and 1878.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Johnson, of Bath [U.K., 1818] on 20 June 1883.2 He fought in the Burma War between 1886 and 1887.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Yorkshire Light Infantry.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1902 in the 3rd Infantry Brigade.2 He gained the rank of Colonel between 1902 and 1906 in the General Staff, 8th Division, Irish Command.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was AAG, General HQ Central Force HD between 1914 and 1915.2 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in 1915 in the DAG Centlra Force and Eastern Command.2
