     Captain John de Courcy Agnew was born on 8 October 1819.1 He was the son of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 7th Bt. and Madeline Carnegie.1 He married, firstly, Anne Wauchope, daughter of Reverend David Wauchope and Anne Wauchope, on 30 October 1849.1 He married, secondly, Patricia Elizabeth Dowbiggin, daughter of William Henry Dowbiggin, on 17 October 1854.1 He married Patricia Ramsay, daughter of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Balmain, 2nd Bt., on 14 May 1872.1 He died on 20 September 1916 at age 96.1
     Captain John de Courcy Agnew gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     Reverend David Wauchope was born in 1770.3 He is the son of John Wauchope and Anne Margaret Erskine.2 He married, firstly, Mary Dick, daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt..3 He married, secondly, Anne Wauchope, daughter of Andrew Wauchope of Niddrie, on 15 August 1821.3 He died on 16 February 1826.3
     Reverend David Wauchope was the Rector at Warkton, Northamptonshire, England.3 He had son by his first wife (who died young) and another son and daughter by his second wife (who also both died young).3
