     Sir Stair Agnew of Lochnaw, 6th Bt. was born on 9 October 1734.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 5th Bt. and Eleanora Agnew.1 He married, firstly, Marie Baillie, daughter of Thomas Baillie of Polkemmet and Isabel Walker, on 23 June 1763.1,2 He married, secondly, Margaret Naesmyth, daughter of Thomas Naesmyth, on 11 April 1775.1 He died on 28 June 1809 at age 74.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Agnew, of Lochnaw, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1629] in August 1771.1

     Marie Baillie was the daughter of Thomas Baillie of Polkemmet and Isabel Walker.1,2 She married Sir Stair Agnew of Lochnaw, 6th Bt., son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, 5th Bt. and Eleanora Agnew, on 23 June 1763.1,3 She died on 9 April 1769.3 She was also reported to have died in November 1769.1
     From 23 June 1763, her married name became Agnew.1

     Thomas Baillie of Polkemmet was born on 22 April 1708.1 He was the son of Thomas Baillie of Polkemmet and Ann Cockburn.1 He married Isabel Walker in 1731.1 He died on 22 April 1784 at age 76.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 12th Regiment.1,2

     John de Courcy, 19th Lord Kingsale was the son of John de Courcy, 18th Lord Kingsale and Martha Heron.2,3 He married Susan Blennerhassett, daughter of Conway Blennerhassett and Elizabeth Lacy, on 31 October 1763.2 He died on 24 May 1822.2
     He succeeded as the 19th Lord Kingsale [I., c. 1340] on 3 March 1776.1
