     Valerie Maureen Troup was born on 10 October 1929 at New Lynn, Auckland, New Zealand.1 She married John Reese Chappell, son of John Hugh Chappell and Emily Helen McKenny Evans, on 7 May 1949 at Auckland, New Zealand.1 She died on 1 June 2012 at age 82 at Papakura, Auckland, New Zealand.2
     From 7 May 1949, her married name became Chappell.1

     Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. was born on 7 January 1762.2 He was the son of Sir Alexander Dick of Prestonfield, 3rd Bt. and Mary Butler.3,2 He married Joanna Douglas, daughter of Sir William Douglas, on 3 March 1786 at Paris, France.2,4 He died on 19 November 1796 at age 34.2
     He gained the rank of Adjutant in 1778 in the 1st Foot Guards.4 He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Foot.4 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Dick, of Prestonfield, co. Midlothian [S., 1707] on 10 November 1786.4 He gained the rank of Major in the Midlothian Fencible Cavalry.4

     Mary Dick was baptised on 25 September 1789 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Sir William Dick, 4th Bt. and Joanna Douglas.3,4 She married Reverend David Wauchope, son of John Wauchope and Anne Margaret Erskine, on 2 September 1808 at Newton, Midlothian, Scotland.1,5 She died on 24 February 1810 at age 20.1
     From 2 September 1808, her married name became Wauchope.1

     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Rector at Church Lawford, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1
