     Major Richard Gylby Brooksbank was born on 9 February 1868.¹ He was the son of Arthur Brooksbank and Anna Maria Lonsdale.¹ He married Catherine Fell, daughter of James Alexander Fell and Elizabeth Lonsdale, in 1906.¹ He died in 1940.¹

     Rear-Admiral Charles Fanshawe was born in 1699.¹ He was the son of William Fanshawe and Mary Walters.² He married Elizabeth Rogers, daughter of Sir John Rogers, 2nd Bt. and Mary Henley, in 1737.¹ He died in 1757 at Reading, Berkshire, England.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was commissioned circa 1713, in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1749.¹

     Elizabeth Rogers was the daughter of Sir John Rogers, 2nd Bt. and Mary Henley.² She married Rear-Admiral Charles Fanshawe, son of William Fanshawe and Mary Walters, in 1737.¹
     From 1737, her married name became Fanshawe.¹

     John Fanshawe was born in 1662.¹ He was the son of John Fanshawe and Dorothy Kingsmill.² He married Mary Coke.¹ He died in 1699.¹

     Mary Coke was born in 1675.¹ She married John Fanshawe, son of John Fanshawe and Dorothy Kingsmill.¹ She died in 1713.¹
     Her married name became Fanshawe.¹

     Christiana Gennys is the daughter of John Gennys.² She married Captain Robert Fanshawe, son of Rear-Admiral Charles Fanshawe and Elizabeth Rogers, on 5 December 1769.²
