     Hon. Julian Charles Fane was born on 25 May 1927.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister.¹ He married Gillian Swire, daughter of John Kidston Swire, on 7 January 1976.¹
     Hon. Julian Charles Fane was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.¹ He was an author.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society of Literature (F.R.S.L.).¹ He lived in 2003 at Rotten Row House, Lewes, Sussex, England.¹

     Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland was born on 15 March 1893.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Anthony Mildmay Julian Fane, 13th Earl of Westmorland and Lady Sybil Mary St. Clair-Erskine.¹ He married Hon. Diana Lister, daughter of Thomas Lister, 4th Baron Ribblestone and Charlotte Monkton Tennant, on 7 June 1923.² He died on 12 May 1948 at age 55.¹
     Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland fought in the First World War.¹ He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916, in H.M.S. Lion.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He was a gentleman rider and trainer.¹ He succeeded to the title of 14th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 9 June 1922.¹ He succeeded to the title of 14th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 9 June 1922.¹

     Lady Rose Fane was born on 4 January 1931.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister.¹ She married, firstly, Captain John Macdonald-Buchanan, son of Major Sir Reginald Narcissus Macdonald-Buchanan and Hon. Catherine Buchanan, on 3 November 1950.¹ She and Captain John Macdonald-Buchanan were divorced in 1969.¹ She married, secondly, John V. Bardsley, son of R. V. Bardsley, on 9 May 1972.¹ She died in 1984.¹
     Her married name became Macdonald-Buchanan. From 9 May 1972, her married name became Bardsley.¹

     Anthony David Francis Henry Fane, 16th Earl of Westmorland was born on 1 August 1951.¹ He is the son of David Anthony Thomas Fane, 15th Earl of Westmorland and Jane Barbara Findlay.¹ He married Caroline Eldred Hughes, daughter of Keon Hughes, in 1985.¹
     Anthony David Francis Henry Fane, 16th Earl of Westmorland was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was a member of the Orbitex North Pole expedition in 1990.¹ He succeeded to the title of 16th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] in 1993.¹ He succeeded to the title of 16th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] in 1993.¹ He was a director of Phillips International Auctioneers.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).¹ He lived in 2003 at 31 Langton Street, London, England.¹

     Captain Arthur Edward Capel was the son of Arthur Capel. He married Hon. Diana Lister, daughter of Thomas Lister, 4th Baron Ribblestone and Charlotte Monkton Tennant, in 1918.¹ He died on 22 December 1919.

     Harmood Victor Carruthers Johnstone was the son of Carruthers Charles Johnstone. He married Hester Caroline Napier, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Henry Edward Napier and Mary Ada Stewart, on 9 August 1928. He died on 25 December 1945.

     David Anthony Thomas Fane, 15th Earl of Westmorland was born on 31 March 1924.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister.¹ He married Jane Barbara Findlay, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Roland Lewis Findlay, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Joan Garrard, on 20 June 1950.¹ He died in 1993.¹

     Jane Barbara Findlay was born on 25 September 1928. She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Roland Lewis Findlay, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Joan Garrard.¹ She married David Anthony Thomas Fane, 15th Earl of Westmorland, son of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister, on 20 June 1950.¹
     As a result of her marriage, Jane Barbara Findlay was styled as Countess of Westmorland on 20 June 1950. From 20 June 1950, her married name became Fane. She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).¹ She lived in 2003 at The Old Vicarage, Badminton, Gloucestershire, England.¹
