     Hon. Julian Charles Fane was born on 25 May 1927.1 He was the son of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister.1 He married Gillian Swire, daughter of John Kidston Swire and Juliet Richenda Barclay, on 7 January 1976.1 He died on 13 December 2009 at age 82.2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was an author.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Literature (F.R.S.L.)1 He lived in 2003 at Rotten Row House, Lewes, Sussex, EnglandG.1

     Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland was born on 15 March 1893.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Anthony Mildmay Julian Fane, 13th Earl of Westmorland and Lady Sybil Mary St. Clair-Erskine.1 He married Hon. Diana Lister, daughter of Thomas Lister, 4th Baron Ribblesdale and Charlotte Monkton Tennant, on 7 June 1923.2 He died on 12 May 1948 at age 55.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916, in H.M.S. Lion.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.1 He was a gentleman rider and trainer.1 He succeeded as the 14th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 9 June 1922.1 He succeeded as the 14th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 9 June 1922.1

     Lady Rose Fane was born on 4 January 1931.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Cdr. Vere Anthony Francis St. Clair Fane, 14th Earl of Westmorland and Hon. Diana Lister.1 She married, firstly, Captain John Macdonald-Buchanan, son of Major Sir Reginald Narcissus Macdonald-Buchanan and Hon. Catherine Macdonald-Buchanan, on 3 November 1950.1 She and Captain John Macdonald-Buchanan were divorced in 1969.1 She married, secondly, John V. Bardsley, son of R. V. Bardsley, on 9 May 1972.1 She died in 1984.1
     Her married name became Macdonald-Buchanan. From 9 May 1972, her married name became Bardsley.1

     Anthony David Francis Henry Fane, 16th Earl of Westmorland was born on 1 August 1951.1 He is the son of David Anthony Thomas Fane, 15th Earl of Westmorland and Jane Barbara Findlay.1 He married Caroline Eldred Hughes, daughter of Keon Hughes, in 1985.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was a member of the Orbitex North Pole expedition in 1990.1 He succeeded as the 16th Earl of Westmorland [E., 1624] on 8 September 1993.1 He succeeded as the 16th Baron Burghersh, co. Sussex [E., 1624] on 8 September 1993.1 He was a director of Phillips International Auctioneers.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1 He lived in 2003 at 31 Langton Street, London, EnglandG.1

     Captain Arthur Edward Capel was born in December 1881 at Brighton, Sussex, England.3 He was the son of Arthur Joseph Capel and Berthe Andrée A. E. Lorin.3 He married Hon. Diana Lister, daughter of Thomas Lister, 4th Baron Ribblesdale and Charlotte Monkton Tennant, in 1918.1 He died on 22 December 1919 at Cuers, France, in a car crash when the tyre on his Rolls Royce burst.4,3,2
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)4 He and Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel were associated between 1909 and 1919.3 He gained the rank of Captain between 1914 and 1916 in the Cavalry Corps.4,2 He was Politicial Secretary to the British Section, Supreme War Council.2 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur in 1919.2
