Ian Stanley Akers-Douglas was born on 16 November 1909.1 He was the son of George Alexander Akers-Douglas and Doris Christopherson.2 He married, firstly, Joan Holroyd Toms, daughter of Major Charles Bowring Toms, on 5 October 1933.1 He and Joan Holroyd Toms were divorced in 1943.1 He married, secondly, Phyllis Rosemary Parsons, daughter of Arthur David Clere Parsons and Doris Cookson, on 12 July 1945.1 He died on 16 December 1952 at age 43, following an accident.1
