     Reverend John Penrose was born on 15 December 1778 at Cardinham, Cornwall, England.1 He was the son of Reverend John Penrose and Jane Trevenen.1 He married Elizabeth Cartwright on 6 May 1814.1 He died on 9 August 1859 at age 80.1
     He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1799 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Vicar in 1802 at Langton, Lincolnshire, England.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1802 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Vicar in 1804 at Poundstock, Cornwall, England.1 He was Vicar in 1809 at Bracebridge, Lincolnshire, England.1
