Ellen Carline Pender Philott was born on 8 December 1817.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Charles Philott and Frances Dorothy Pender.1 She married Reverend Charles Thomas Penrose, son of Reverend John Penrose and Elizabeth Cartwright, on 2 June 1843 at Dawlish, Devon, England.1 She died on 3 January 1870 at age 52 at Coleby, Lincolnshire, England.1
