     Richard Howard was born on 13 November 1733.1 He was the son of Sir Walter Wagstaffe Bagot, 5th Bt. and Lady Barbara Legge.1 He married Frances Howard, daughter of William Howard, Viscount Andover and Lady Mary Finch, on 25 February 1783.1 He died on 18 February 1819 at age 85.1
     Richard Howard was baptised with the name of Richard Bagot.1 His name was legally changed to Richard Howard.1
