Sir Thomas Digby Legard, 14th Bt. was born on 16 October 1905.1 He was the son of Sir Digby Algernon Hall Legard, 13th Bt. and Georgina Blanche Elaine Barber-Starkey.2 He married Mary Helen L'Estrange Malone, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edmund George Savile L'Estrange Malone and Marjory Violet St. Quintin, on 3 September 1935.1 He died on 27 March 1984 at age 78.1
He was educated at Lancing College, Lancing, Sussex, England.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Legard, of Ganton, co. York [E., 1660] on 5 January 1961.1

P/O William Ernest Legard was born on 24 July 1911.1 He was the son of Sir Digby Algernon Hall Legard, 13th Bt. and Georgina Blanche Elaine Barber-Starkey.2 He married Alice Vestey, daughter of Hon. George Ellis Vestey and Florence May Webster, on 29 September 1939.1 He died on 1 June 1940 at age 28, killed in action.1

Hon. George Ellis Vestey was born on 9 October 1884.2 He is the son of William Vestey, 1st Baron Vestey and Sarah Ellis.2 He married Florence May Webster, daughter of Thomas Webster, on 2 September 1909.2 He died on 14 August 1968 at age 83.2

George Ellis Vestey and Florence May Webster.2 She married, firstly, P/O William Ernest Legard, son of Sir Digby Algernon Hall Legard, 13th Bt. and Georgina Blanche Elaine Barber-Starkey, on 29 September 1939.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Basil Perry Beale, son of Sydney Benjamin Beale, on 27 November 1943.2 She died on 23 May 2017 at age 99.3
