     Major Reginald Trevor Roper was the son of William Roper.2 He married Florence Alice Hawkins, daughter of James Staples Hawkins and Letitia Georgiana Brooke, on 19 April 1906.1 He died on 12 October 1914 at France, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Dorset Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War.1
