     Evelyn Irene Sophie Phipps-Hornby was born on 14 November 1895.2 She was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Edmund John Phipps-Hornby, V.C.3 She married Brigadier Hubert Francis Lucas, son of Francis Granville Lewis Lucas and Mary Frances Bovill, on 24 August 1920.3,4 She died in June 1993 at age 97.4
     From 24 August 1921, her married name became Lucas.

     Diana Joan Lucas was born on 29 April 1931.1 She was the daughter of Brigadier Hubert Francis Lucas and Evelyn Irene Sophie Phipps-Hornby.2 She married Captain John Brian St. Vincent Hawkins, son of Brigadier Victor Francis Staples Hawkins and Violet Beryl Ware, on 2 January 1954.1 She died in 1994.1
     From 2 January 1954, her married name became Hawkins.

     Brigadier Victor Francis Staples Hawkins was born on 4 August 1896 at Preston, Dorset, EnglandG.2,3 He was the son of Captain Herbert Reginald Montgomery Hawkins and Hilda Nugent Bankes.2 He married Violet Beryl Ware, daughter of Charles Edward Cumberlege Ware, on 20 October 1921.3 He died on 28 April 1975 at age 78, as the result of a road accident.3
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England.3 He fought in the First World War.2 He was commissioned in 1914 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Lancashire Fusiliers.3 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.2 He fought in the Second World War, and was seriously wounded at Kohima.2 He was commander of the 1st Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers between 1939 and 1940.3 He was Commandant, N2 Staff College between 1941 and 1942.3 He was commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.2 He was commander of the 130 Infantry Brigade, Territorial Army between 1947 and 1950.3 He retired from the military in 1950, with the rank of Brigadier.3 He lived at Athelleaze, Athelhampton, Dorchester, Dorset, EnglandG.1

     Captain John Brian St. Vincent Hawkins was born in August 1929.2 He is the son of Brigadier Victor Francis Staples Hawkins and Violet Beryl Ware.3,4 He married Diana Joan Lucas, daughter of Brigadier Hubert Francis Lucas and Evelyn Irene Sophie Phipps-Hornby, on 2 January 1954.1
     Captain John Brian St. Vincent Hawkins usually went by his middle name of Brian.2 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1947 and 1948 in the Grenadier Guards.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was commissioned in 1949 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Dorset Regiment.2 He fought in the Korean War, with Glosters.2 He was with Dorset Police in 1958.2 He lived in 1976 at Orchard House, 7 Clarence Road, Dorchester, Dorset, England.2
