     Major Thomas van Straubenzee was born on 17 April 1782 at Wakefield, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of Charles Spencer van Straubenzee and Anne Theophilia Davison.¹ He married Maria Bowen, daughter of Major Henry Bowen and Henrietta Garstin, on 17 April 1808.¹ He died on 8 February 1843 at age 60.¹

     Walter Lewknor was born in 1421.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Lewknor and Phillippe de Dalyngridge.¹ He died in 1520.¹

     Thomas Giffard lived at Chillington, Staffordshire, England.¹

     Sophia Elizabeth Giffard was the daughter of Thomas Giffard.² She married John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley, son of John Wrottesley, 1st Baron Wrottesley and Lady Caroline Bennet, on 28 July 1821.¹ She died on 13 January 1880.¹
     From 28 July 1821, her married name became Wrottesley. After her marriage, Sophia Elizabeth Giffard was styled as Baroness Wrottesley on 14 March 1841.

     Elizabeth Lewknor was born in 1422.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Lewknor and Elisabeth de Etchingham.¹ She died in 1464.¹

     Hon. Charles Wrottesley was born on 23 February 1826.¹ He was the son of John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley and Sophia Elizabeth Giffard.² He died on 19 June 1907 at age 81, unmarried.¹
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 1st King's Own Staffordshire Militia.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Wrottesley was born on 15 June 1827.¹ He was the son of John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley and Sophia Elizabeth Giffard.² He married, firstly, Margaret Anne Burgoyne, daughter of Field Marshal Sir John Fox Burgoyne, 1st Bt., on 7 January 1854.¹ He married, secondly, Nina Margaret Philips, daughter of John William Philips, on 21 February 1889.¹ He died on 4 March 1909 at age 81, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Rosie (?) married Robert Campbell-Preston, son of Lt.-Col. George Patrick Campbell-Preston and Frances Olivia Grenfell.¹
     Her married name became Campbell-Preston.¹

     Margaret Anne Burgoyne was the daughter of Field Marshal Sir John Fox Burgoyne, 1st Bt.² She married Maj.-Gen. Hon. George Wrottesley, son of John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley and Sophia Elizabeth Giffard, on 7 January 1854.¹ She died on 3 May 1883, without issue.¹
     From 7 January 1854, her married name became Wrottesley.

     Hon. Henry Wrottesley was born on 4 March 1829.¹ He was the son of John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley and Sophia Elizabeth Giffard.² He died on 11 March 1852 at age 23, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 43rd Regiment.¹ He fought in the Kaffir War on 11 March 1852.¹
