     Sir William Whitmore was born in 1572.1 He is the son of William Whitmore and Anne Bond.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Moseley, daughter of Rowland Mosley and Anne Houghton.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Weld, daughter of John Weld.1 He died in December 1648.1
     He purchased the estate of Apley, Shropshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1620.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth in 1621.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bridgnorth from 1624 to 1625.1 He lived at London, England.1
