     Edwyn Walker was born on 6 September 1837.1 He was the son of Sir James Walker, 1st Bt. and Maria Thompson.2 He married Elizabeth Bethell, daughter of William Froggatt Bethell and Elizabeth Beckett-Denison, on 11 August 1874.1 He died on 22 August 1919 at age 81.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th Hussars.1
