     Bampfylde Leonard Carew was born on 21 April 1868.1 He was the son of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton.2 He married Jeanne Ethel Walker, daughter of Colonel Frank Walker, on 18 August 1909.1 He died on 10 February 1940 at age 71, without issue.1
     Bampfylde Leonard Carew gained the rank of Major in the service of the 4th Dragoon Guards.1

     From 18 August 1909, her married name became Carew. She lived in 1976 at Shiel, Sandy Lane, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1

     Brig.-Gen. Charles Orby Shipley was the son of Maj.-Gen. Major William Davies Shipley.2 He married Katherine Jane Carew, daughter of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton, on 22 March 1890.1 He died in July 1934.3
     Brig.-Gen. Charles Orby Shipley gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the service of the 3rd Battalion, East Surrey Regiment.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).1 He had one son.1
