     Vice-Admiral Sir Charles Vinicombe Penrose was born on 2 July 1759.1 He was the son of Reverend John Penrose.1 He married Elizabeth Trevenen on 2 January 1787.1 He died in 1830.1
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1
