     Maj.-Gen. Philip Austin Smyly was born in 1810 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of John George Smyly and Belissa Crampton. He married Augusta Amelia Dunn, daughter of John Dunn and Catharine Colville, on 22 March 1849 at Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.2 He died on 17 October 1894 at Drayton Lodge, Monkstown, County Dublin, Ireland.2
     He lived at Drayton Lodge, Monkstown, County Dublin, Ireland.1

     Major Frederic Philip Smyly was born on 15 June 1856 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Philip Austin Smyly and Augusta Amelia Dunn.3,2 He married Charlotte Mary Emily Price, daughter of Sir John Frederick Price and Alice Phillips, on 17 October 1885 at St. Georges Cathedral, Chennai, India.1,2 He died on 11 June 1945 at age 88 at Oak Bay, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.2
     He gained the rank of Major in the South Wales Borderers.1

     Harriet Alice Franklin Price was the daughter of Sir John Frederick Price and Alice Phillips.2 She married Major Leopold Alfred McClintock, son of Dr. Alfred Henry McClintock and Frances Cuppaidge, in 1892.1 She died on 16 August 1963, leaving issue.1
     From 1892, her married name became McClintock.1
