Major Robert Francis Ladeveze Milliken-Napier was born on 3 December 1856.1 He was the son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron.2 He married Emily Norrie Moke, daughter of George Louis Augustus Moke and Margaret Norrie, on 25 July 1887.1 He died on 23 May 1898 at age 41 at Atbara, Sudan, on active service.1
He gained the rank of Major in the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders.1

Emily Norrie Moke was born on 9 January 1868.2 She was the daughter of George Louis Augustus Moke and Margaret Norrie.2 She married Major Robert Francis Ladeveze Milliken-Napier, son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron, on 25 July 1887.1 She died on 17 April 1961 at age 93.1
