     William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier was born on 2 May 1858.1 He was the son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron.2 He married Janet Catherine Reid, daughter of W. M. Reid, on 12 April 1884.1 He died on 25 September 1900 at age 42.1

     Janet Catherine Reid was the daughter of W. M. Reid.2 She married William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier, son of Sir Robert John Milliken-Napier of Merchistoun, 9th Bt. and Anne Salisbury Meliora Ladaveze Adlercron, on 12 April 1884.1 She died on 14 October 1945.1
     From 12 April 1884, her married name became Milliken-Napier.

     Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier was born on 24 May 1893 at St. Kitts and Nevis.1,2 He was the son of William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Janet Catherine Reid.3 He married Audrey Houlding, daughter of William Houlding, on 4 March 1919.1 He died on 10 March 1983 at age 89.1,2
     He gained the rank of Major in the Lothians and Border Horse.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery (TA.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Peebles-shire in 1954.1

     From 4 March 1919, her married name became Milliken-Napier.

     Elizabeth June Houlding Milliken-Napier was born on 13 June 1920.1 She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. William Edward Stirling Milliken-Napier and Audrey Houlding.2 She married Lt.-Col. Gerald Patrick Gardner-Brown, son of Professor John Gerald Gardner-Brownhad:, on 1 May 1947.1
     Elizabeth June Houlding Milliken-Napier usually went by her middle name of June.1 From 1 May 1947, her married name became Gardner-Brown. She lived in 2003 at Culcreuch Cottage, Milton Street, Bowral, New South Wales, Australia.1
