     Christian Methuen was the daughter of Paul Methuen and Catharine Cobb.1 She married Frederick Irby, 2nd Baron Boston, son of William Irby, 1st Baron Boston and Albinia Selwyn, on 15 May 1775.1 She died on 9 May 1832.1 Her will was probated in June 1832.1
     As a result of her marriage, Christian Methuen was styled as Baroness Boston on 15 May 1775. From 15 May 1775, her married name became Irby.

      Her married name became Sanford. She was also known as Henrietta Langham.1 Her married name became Sanford.

     Edward Ayshford Sanford was born in 1794. He married Henrietta Langham, daughter of Sir William Langham, 8th Bt. and Henrietta Elizabeth Frederica Vane, on 4 November 1817.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Caroline Anne Stanhope, daughter of General Charles Stanhope, 3rd Earl of Harrington and Jane Fleming, on 21 June 1841.1 He died on 1 December 1871.
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Nynehead Court, Somerset, England.1
