     George Lorne Carter-Campbell, 6th of Possil was born on 5 December 1899.¹ He was the son of Arthur Campbell Carter-Campbell, 5th of Possil and Kathleen Isabelle Hilhouse, 7th of Possil.¹ He married Diana Morrison Kirkwood, daughter of Major John Hendley Morrison Kirkwood and Gertrude Agnes Lyle, on 16 December 1925.¹ He and Diana Morrison Kirkwood were divorced in 1926.¹ He died on 29 April 1928 at age 28 at Cresta Run, Switzerland, as the result of an accident.¹

     Diana Morrison Kirkwood was born in 1905 at Yeo Vale, Devon, England.² She was the daughter of Major John Hendley Morrison Kirkwood and Gertrude Agnes Lyle.¹ She married George Lorne Carter-Campbell, 6th of Possil, son of Arthur Campbell Carter-Campbell, 5th of Possil and Kathleen Isabelle Hilhouse, 7th of Possil, on 16 December 1925.¹ She and George Lorne Carter-Campbell, 6th of Possil were divorced in 1926.¹ She died on 10 February 1969.¹
     From 16 December 1925, her married name became Carter-Campbell.¹

     Maj.-Gen. George Tupper Campbell Carter-Campbell was born on 2 April 1869.¹ He was the son of Colonel Thomas Tupper Carter-Campbell and Emily Georgiana Campbell, 4th of Possil.¹ He married Frances Elizabeth Ward, daughter of Colonel David Ward, on 30 November 1908.¹ He died on 19 December 1921 at age 52.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Scottish Rifles.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was commander of the 51st Highland Division.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Frances Elizabeth Ward was the daughter of Colonel David Ward.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. George Tupper Campbell Carter-Campbell, son of Colonel Thomas Tupper Carter-Campbell and Emily Georgiana Campbell, 4th of Possil, on 30 November 1908.¹ She died on 7 February 1960.¹
     From 30 November 1908, her married name became Carter-Campbell.¹

     Colonel David Ward gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹
