Alexander Kirkpatrick was the son of Roger Kirkpatrick and Margaret (?).2 He died on 9 June 1686.1
De Teba, and was mother of EUGENIE, wife of NAPOLEON III.1 In 1484 granted lands and territorial Barony of Kirkmichael, Dumfriesshire, as reward for the capture of 9th Earl of Douglas at Burnswark.1 Circa 1622 his great-grandson William, of Kirkmichael, sold part of his estates to Sir John Charteris.1 He was his grandson Alexander, of Drumcondra (b ), settled nr Dublin and was ancestor of the KIRKPATRICKs of Coolmine, of Donacumper, County Kildare, and Craigs, County Antrim in 1714.1 In 1737 William Kirkpatrick , of the Conheath branch of the family, had of 19 children a 3rd son, William (1764–1837), who was US Consul at Malaga 1800–18 and whose daughter Maria Manuela m 1819 Cipriano, Count de Montijo.1
